Defining 2 Senate immigration bills

There was an article in the July 28 L.A. Times that assessed two competing Senate immigration bills, one proposed by John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Ted Kennedy (D-Mass), the other by Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas). I think President Bush needs to read it and take notes:

No Bush, no border reform
by ANDRÉS MARTINEZ

And in case you missed this one:
Bush officials back off immigration bills
Cabinet secretaries are absent from a congressional hearing on reform legislation.
