A new Newsweek Poll (Nov. 10-11, 2005) shows that 68% of Americans polled are dissatisfied with "the way things are going in the United States at this time." 26% are satisfied. 65% disapprove of the job George W. Bush is doing handling the war in Iraq, while only 30% approve. More Americans disapprove of the job Bush is doing fighting terrorism than approve (49%-45%). And if the 2006 general elections were held today, the poll shows, 53% of Americans would vote for the Democratic candidate while 36% would vote for the Republican.
Welcome back to reality, America. We've missed you.
